We are breaking the cycle of transgenerational illiteracy and disadvantage in marginalised communities across Australia.
Our evidence-based programs target the root causes of low literacy, working with communities to create lasting, sustainable change. From early childhood through to adulthood, we provide pathways to literacy and learning for all Australians.
Every child we reach, every book we share, every language we help preserve represents a step towards a more literate, more inclusive Australia.
Our 8 national programs reach communities across every state and territory in Australia.
Bringing literacy resources and programs to isolated communities where access to education can be limited.
Supporting schools in metropolitan areas with high populations of refugees and newly arrived migrants.
Partnering with regional communities to ensure children have equal access to quality literacy education.
Our programs are grounded in research and deliver measurable, lasting results.
Children in our programs show significant improvements in reading comprehension and fluency within 12 months.
Students who participate in our programs demonstrate higher school attendance and classroom participation.
Our Indigenous First Language program has helped document and revitalise endangered Aboriginal languages.
We build local capacity by training educators and community members to continue literacy work long-term.
Together, we can reach more children and communities across Australia.
